Turquoise Drift depicts an amazing close up encounter with a Green Turtle, captured near Lady Elliot Island on the Southern Great Barrier Reef.
The largest of the hardshell turtle species, these beautiful animals can grow up to 1.5m in length and weigh over 300kg. Currently listed as Endangered, Green Turtles are facing increasing pressure from habitat degradation at feeding grounds and nesting beaches, entanglement in fishing gear, and intentional harvesting of eggs and adult females during nesting.
High quality canvas print stretched on a sustainable meranti hardwood frame that will not warp or crack in a humid environment. Perfect for the home or office, and ideal gifts this Christmas.
Other prints available: Manta Ray (Solitude) and Humpback Whale mother & calf (Journey). These images have been donated and signed by Justin Bruhn of Pure Underwater Imaging, and are available exclusively to AMCS supporters.
