Volunteer With Us


Every win for our oceans – from our Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, to our critical marine parks – was achieved by ocean loving volunteers and staff. Be a part of the community working to save the ocean and all those who call it home.

We regularly have volunteer opportunities available in the Cairns and Perth regions. In other areas, opportunities are currently limited, but we’d love to keep in touch.

Ciara Grogan

Ciara is a passionate environmentalist with a BSc. in Environmental Science and MSc. in Leadership for Sustainable Development. She worked previously as an environmental advisor and was selected as one of Northern Ireland’s top 30 Under 30 Climate Change Makers.

Asher Telford

Asher is owner and operator of Red Cat Adventures, an eco-tourism business in the Whitsundays. Asher is a passionate supporter of the Reef campaign and was part of the successful effort to ban the dumping of dredge spoil in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.

Narelle Hill

Narelle is a dedicated long-term volunteer at AMCS. As the presentations coordinator, Narelle plays a key role in educating companies, students and community groups about our Reef and climate change, raising awareness about the devastating impacts of the Adani Carmichael coal mine on our Reef.
