Inspiring the next generation of ocean advocates

Our education resources bring the wonders of Australia’s oceans into classrooms and homes, helping young people discover our extraordinary marine life, understand the challenges facing our oceans and learn how they can help protect them.

Explore resources on sharks and rays, discover the remarkable story of Ellison Reef and the birth of Australia’s modern marine conservation movement, or dive into Voice of the Sea, our ARIA Award-winning collaboration with iconic Australian musician and conservationist John Williamson.

The anthem for our oceans

Voice of the Sea began when John Williamson wrote and performed the song for the Australian Marine Conservation Society to highlight the plight of our oceans and marine life.

Thousands of schoolchildren have sung Voice of the Sea in school halls across Australia; its beautiful animated lyric video won an ARIA Award, and Puffin Books brought the story to life as a children’s book.

More than a song, Voice of the Sea inspires the next generation to discover, appreciate and protect our oceans.
