Great Ocean Walk
Congratulations to Anne on completing the Great Ocean Walk 100KM Challenge!
With every step of the trek, Anne raised over $2,300 to help support our big blue backyard.
“I felt like doing something active to help manage and contain some of the threats the oceans are facing from human exploitation.” Anne continues, “I love walking, so I was drawn to [the] idea of combining that with helping the Australian Marine Conservation Society raise funds for their conservation projects.”
The hike began in Apollo Bay and concluded with the world-famous Twelve Apostles.
Living landlocked, miles from the oceans, Anne speaks tenderly of reconnecting to the ocean.
“I feel drawn to their movement and tides, dynamic forces that interact with the land and the moon. They create a sense of wonder in me.”
Thank Anne for supporting our oceans, and send our congratulations on this epic achievement.
