Era: 1960-1969
Among Australia’s oldest conservation groups, the Queensland Littoral Society (later, AMCS) organised around a campfire in 1965. Early printed materials sported this fishy logo.
The original fish logo is synonymous with our brave founders who dared to believe a small group of committed citizens could make a change – 6 decades of marine conservation and advocacy was born!
By 1969, The Great Barrier Reef Petition was presented to Parliament, supported with over 13,000 signatures. This same year we made a stand against Tallebudgera Creek development proposals.
