On Thursday, 18th of Feb 2021, Facebook announced it would be removing Australian news from the platform, blocking news organisations, removing news feeds and stopping us from sharing links to news articles on its platform.
Many government departments, not-for-profits and non-government organisations were impacted, including a Facebook page that we help to manage for the Keep Top End Coasts Healthy campaign.
While the AMCS Facebook page, and that of our Fight For Our Reef and GoodFish campaigns are still active, we are not counting our chickens, or indeed our nudibranches, just yet!
While we work to understand what these changes mean for the Australian Marine Conservation Society and our campaigns, we thought we should remind people there are plenty of other ways to keep up to date with our work to protect the oceans.
