Celebrate Sir David Attenborough’s 100th birthday in May with a free community screening of his film Ocean with David Attenborough followed by Q&A on ocean protection.
In the film, the celebrated broadcaster and filmmaker reveals how his lifetime has coincided with the great age of ocean discovery. Through spectacular sequences featuring coral reefs, kelp forests and the open ocean, Sir David shares why ocean recovery is vital for stabilising our climate and securing a healthier future for us all. He explains how marine protection – if immediately implemented – can help to turn the tide.
After the film, you’ll hear from expert panelists on the role of marine sanctuaries as part of the solution for ocean recovery and resilience. And, importantly, on what the community can do to help ensure our oceans are protected for the future.
This free event is hosted by the Save Our Marine Life, an alliance of 27 leading conservation groups co-led by the Australian Marine Conservation Society.
