Nature Is For Everyone

Joel, also known as Mulga the Artist, loves creating art that brings joy to people. He’s also a lifelong surfer.

A lot of my art and style is influenced by my love of surfing and the ocean.”

Joel recalls spending time as a kid surfing at Bawley Point, NSW. Even today, most of his holiday time is based around the ocean, and finding some waves.

Dolphins are Joel’s favourite – and he joyously recalls times being in sync with the ocean, riding a wave with dolphins cruising in front of him.

Offering some words of wisdom, Joel reminds us, “YOLO. Get off your phone, get into nature and get some salt water on your head and go for a swim or a surf”

Thank you Joel for your vibrant art, and your joyous, hopeful nature. Your ability to playfully connect Australians and nature is an incredible gift.
