Send Email Fight For Our Reef

Fix the Reef 2050 plan

What is a plan to protect the Great Barrier Reef worth, if it doesn’t deal with climate change?

The Australian and Queensland governments have released a new plan to protect our iconic Great Barrier Reef. Yet their plan doesn’t include any real action to stop climate change, the biggest threat to its survival.

We have just 48 hours until submissions close. Tell the government that you can’t protect our Reef without urgent climate action!

Limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees is crucial because, as outlined in the IPCC report, only the most ambitious action on climate change will ensure that at least 10-30% of the world’s coral reefs will survive.¹ If global warming rises to 2.0 degrees, we will lose all the world’s coral reefs.

Don’t miss your chance to have your say. Make your submission today!
