Australia’s inshore waters are under increasing pressure from destructive industries, pollution, and climate change. From coral reefs and seagrass meadows to mangrove nurseries and kelp forests, these ecosystems are home to countless species and are vital to local communities, industries, and First Nations custodians of Sea Country.
However, meaningful marine park protection only happens when communities make their voices heard.
AMCS is driving a national mobilisation effort, connecting coastal communities, scientists, First Nations leaders, and ocean advocates to secure stronger protections where they matter most. Through petitions, social media campaigns, public events, letter-writing, and creative actions, we turn concern into visible, sustained pressure that compels decision-makers to act.

The projects featured in the Funding Prospectus are priority campaign activities and needs for which we are urgently seeking funds – current at the time of posting or going to press. As time progresses, there may be some cases in which the project you have selected may already be fully funded.
