Clive Palmer’s company – Central Queensland Coal Pty Ltd – wants to build a new coal mine just 10 km from the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area.
The Queensland government has just allowed it to proceed to the next stage of assessment. The good news is the mine still hasn’t received environmental approval, but we have just 40 business days to intervene.
