It is the people who make organisations great. Dave Graham was one of those people. With over 50 years of service to our oceans, and in particular the Great Barrier Reef and Moreton Bay, Dave’s love for the sea and for the people who worked and volunteered for AMCS has never wavered.
Dave joined AMCS in 1969 in our early days as the Queensland Littoral Society. He has contributed to our work in so many ways ever since, from surveying mangroves to restoring creeks, raising funds to printing our early newsletters and designing our website, and then serving as our President. In tribute to both Dave and his beloved Jan’s service, they were made AMCS Honorary Life Members.
We have lost a dear friend, a tireless champion of the cause and all round good bloke. We will love and remember him always.
In remembrance of his legacy to AMCS and our oceans, Dave’s family kindly asks that instead of sending flowers you consider donating to AMCS and ocean wildlife around Australia.
