We need your help to secure permanent protections for our Reef
The Great Barrier Reef boasts diverse wildlife and unique ecosystems. It is home to 70 First Nations groups. It’s tourism industry supports 64,000 people and contributes $6 billion to the economy.
In 2024, we’ll launch a campaign focusing on the immediate threats to the Reef. We’ll work closely with tourism operators, who serve as the Reef’s ambassadors. They play a crucial role in educating tourists and the community about the importance of conservation and climate action.
Invest $90,000 in 2024 to ensure we support our tourism industry, communities and our reef.
- $10,000 will support international advocacy to maintain international oversight and concern for the Great Barrier Reef. (FUNDED)
- $25,000 will support gaining support from both main political parties to safeguard the Great Barrier Reef from climate change, water pollution, and unsustainable fishing. (FUNDED)
- $30,000 will support building on ground support for action to protect the Reef in coastal communities and with local stakeholders and businesses. (FUNDED)
- $25,000 will support targeted communications and polling to raise awareness of threats to the Reef.
All donations over $2 are 100% tax-deductible. Our important campaigns are not funded by Government grants, we are totally reliant on generous people like you to protect Australia’s oceans and the animals that call them home.
