The AMCS Voice of the Sea Program is a powerful education initiative that fosters awe, appreciation and responsibility for our oceans from an early age. Designed to align with Australia’s National Curriculum for primary school students, the program has successfully completed its pilot phase and is now ready to scale nationally.
Voice of the Sea has already demonstrated its impact through highly engaging, creative and award-winning initiatives, including the ARIA Award-winning Voice of the Sea song and video and the Fantastical Sharks & Rays Exhibition at the Australian Museum. These innovative approaches captivate young audiences, making marine conservation both inspiring and accessible.
By supporting the Voice of the Sea, you are investing in a future where young Australians grow up as ocean champions—equipped not only to understand the urgency of marine conservation but to take action and lead change.
In 2025 we are seeking to raise $80,000 to expand the Voice of the Sea program, ensuring that more students, teachers and communities can engage with ocean conservation in meaningful ways. Your support will directly contribute to:
- Expanding outreach to schools and communities – Engaging young Australians in marine conservation education that fosters deeper connections with our oceans.
- Developing high-quality, curriculum-aligned educational materials – Creating engaging lesson plans, activities, videos and resources that cater to diverse learning styles and classroom needs.
- Providing teachers and students with innovative learning tools – Equipping educators with creative, thought-provoking resources that inspire action and advocacy.
- Strengthening partnerships – Building stronger connections between AMCS, schools, communities and key stakeholders to drive long-term conservation awareness and action.
All donations over $2 are 100% tax-deductible. The projects featured in the Funding Prospectus are priority campaign activities and needs for which we are urgently seeking funds – current at the time of posting or going to press. As time progresses, there may be some cases in which the project you have selected may already be fully funded. In that instance, we would be delighted to discuss where the need is greatest at the given time. All of our campaigns work in symbiotic support of our mission to protect our oceans.
