At AMCS, effective communication is at the heart of our mission. In an era where misinformation and disinformation are actively undermining conservation progress, our work has never been more important.
To protect Australia’s oceans, we must not only run high profile and impact campaigns, but also combat the deliberate distortion of public understanding of the threats. Bad actors are weaponising false narratives to stall progress, making it essential that we counter them with credible, science-based information.
AMCS excels in transforming complex scientific information into clear, compelling communications that inspire advocacy, engage communities and drive meaningful outcomes. However, to continue leading the fight for marine conservation, we must ensure our digital tools and platforms are fit for purpose.
Investing in cutting-edge digital innovations has been key to our success in winning major campaigns against well-funded opponents. To meet today’s challenges, we need to build on this strength – equipping AMCS with the resources to expose disinformation, amplify diverse voices and empower communities and decision makers to demand urgent action for our oceans.

All donations over $2 are 100% tax-deductible. The projects featured in the Funding Prospectus are priority campaign activities and needs for which we are urgently seeking funds – current at the time of posting or going to press. As time progresses, there may be some cases in which the project you have selected may already be fully funded. In that instance, we would be delighted to discuss where the need is greatest at the given time. All of our campaigns work in symbiotic support of our mission to protect our oceans.
