Keep The Top End Coasts Healthy in 2024
With only two marine parks, most of our Northern Territory coasts are unprotected.
Keep The Top End Coasts Healthy (KTECH) is a community program led by AMCS. The alliance prioritises First Nations leadership in designing and managing marine parks, together with Aboriginal Rangers. By combining cultural and scientific expertise, we aim to support and safeguard marine protected areas (MPAs).
Invest $375,600 in 2024 to ensure First Nations people are at the forefront of the expansion of marine protected areas in the NT, one of the world’s last intact tropical coastlines.
- $200,600 will support dedicated KTECH campaign and communications team to deliver this vital program.
- $135,000 will support public awareness and education program including advertising, events and video production that includes First Nations voices.
- $40,000 will support engagement with First Nations people including travel to remote, on-country locations, bringing First Nations stories to Australians, and delegations to Darwin and Canberra.
All donations over $2 are 100% tax-deductible. Our important campaigns are not funded by Government grants, we are totally reliant on generous people like you to protect Australia’s oceans and the animals that call them home.
