Join your local community of Reef lovers for a fun night of mingling and opportunities to ensure our Reef gets the protection it deserves!
With major milestones for our Reef approaching fast there’s no time to lose! RSVP today to mingle with like-minded Reef- lovers at the Salthouse, get updates on the latest Reef developments, and hear how you can help keep our Reef beautiful.
Our speakers will provide you an update on the health of our Reef, recent occurrences in the World Heritage Campaign, and a series of next steps you can take to protect our Reef.
The speakers list will be announced closer to the event; it will include local divers and Great Barrier Reef Community Campaigner Garrett Swearingen.
Following the speakers we’ll have a Q&A session and give you the chance to sign up for further campaigns and training opportunities as we count down to key moments like the global climate conference in Glasgow and the UN Reactive Monitoring Mission to the Reef, placing maximum pressure on the Government.
Following a decision by UNESCO not to list the Reef as ‘in danger’, the Australian Government must report back to UNESCO by February 2022 with a plan to protect our Reef from the climate crisis and water pollution. This is a huge opportunity to achieve progress on climate action and we need you by our side to make it happen.
With three climate-driven mass bleachings in five years, there’s no time to lose – our Reef needs us to act now. Come along to our Campaign Info Night and join our movement fighting for our Reef!
Tickets are free but limited – Join us on the 24th of August to get our Reef the protection it deserves!
