Factory freezer trawler, the Geelong Star, arrived in Australia on 1 April and within three days it had been approved to go fishing, despite persistent opposition from conservationists, recreational fishers, tourism organisations and people across the country. This weekend hundreds of people are joining events in a National Day of Action across the country to call on Prime Minister Abbott to stop the Geelong Star and other super trawlers from threatening our unique marine life and valuable fisheries.
