  • Save the snubfin and their home!
  • Stop the Super Trawler Killing our Dolphins and Seals
  • Oil & Gas does not belong here!

The Australian Marine Conservation Society is Australia's only national charity dedicated exclusively to protecting ocean wildlife and their homes.

Save our snubfin dolphins and the Great Barrier Reef

Your donation today can help stop the coal industry from building a mega port at Abbot Point on the Great Barrier Reef coast, which is in the middle of critical snubfin dolphin habitat.

With only 1000 dolphins remaining, this is unacceptable.

If your donation is made before June 30 it will be matched, dollar for dollar by The Thomas Foundation.

That will double your impact to save our Reef and the threatened animals that call it home, like our snubfin dolphin.

Thank you for taking action along side us.

Oil & Gas in our marine sanctuaries - what's next?

Oil and gas companies have quietly been granted permits to look for petroleum in our marine sanctuaries, including an area that is an important migratory habitat for humpback whales, blue whales, sea lions, and breeding habitat for the western rock lobster.

Seismic testing has already begun in some sanctuaries, off the coast of Western Australia. If the seismic tests are successful the next step would be exploratory drilling.

If the government hadn't decided to review our marine sanctuaries in 2014, mining exploration would be prohibited in these areas.

Tell the government to keep oil and gas out of our sanctuaries!
