Save our marine sanctuaries

Just three months after they were elected, the Abbott Government started a costly and unnecessary ‘review’ of our newly won marine parks network.

Now it’s coming to an end and many of our sanctuaries, that offer marine life the greatest protection, could be taken away.

Australia is blessed with the richest and most unique marine life on our planet. We don’t want seismic testing for oil and gas or dangerous fishing in special places meant for preservation.

We need your help to fight back. Can you spare a few dollars today to save our sanctuaries from exploitation?

Don't let them strip away our rights

Two weeks ago, we had a win for the Great Barrier Reef when the approval for the Adani Carmichael coal mine was overturned by the courts.

If the mine had gone ahead, it would have required millions of tonnes of dredging at Abbot Point and hundreds more coal ships crossing the Reef.

Instead of accepting the verdict, the Abbott Government has announced they will change the laws that allow Australians to object to environmentally damaging projects.

They want to strip away our rights to challenge projects that will damage natural wonders like the Great Barrier Reef.

Please tell your MP this is unacceptable!
